What’s the difference between a loop and a ball end on violin strings?
My violin teacher told me to get a new set of strings, and I can’t remember whether he said to get a ball end or a loop end. I know he said something about getting the one for fine tuners, but that’s it. Thank You!
Look on your fine tuners. If you see one prong, then you need loops. If you see two, then you need ball ends. Chances are, you have ball ends. There is no sound difference.
